Who is JR? Jack the Ripper in London 1888

Rizal (JR) arrived in Liverpool on May 24, 1888 then boarded a train
to London He stayed in part with the Beckett Family in an affluent
place in London. Now read over my shoulder the news headlines that
dominated London. The most vicious crime of the century that started few days after his arrival. These were the accepted victims of Jack the Ripper

The killing stopped after our hero left for continental Europe in
the beginning of 1889. Jack the Ripper's victims were found in the
East End, the poor gut section of London badly cut with precision
that could only attributed to some one who has medical training.
Eyewitnesses claimed that Jack wore a dark overcoat as he lurked in
his long shadow. It was the first known serial killer that remained
unsolved.

Rizal could not have been suspect however no matter how large shadow
he cast. His diminutive figure surely will eliminate him among the
suspects who were the very elite including members of the Royal
Family. Some immigrants were also suspected and the latest was a
Mason who later turned out to be a gay. I studied the handwritings
style of the letter that Jack sent to the London newspaper that
might have eluded the famous Scotland Yard but nothing familiar
except the famous Jack the Ripper’s signature JR. I will however
try to minimize the curiosity but you have to admit that my wild
theory is more passable than the Hitler's son and worth a few more
chuckles. End of my serial story.

Few years ago (over 6 years at least), I wrote on my website of the
interesting coincidence of the initial JR, Jose Rizal and Jack the
Ripper. I also posted the event in this group and probably some of
you remember my thread. I think I copied Ambeth Ocampo of the
amazing timing. I did not realize how it had become an urban legend.
I am almost sure that the blogger pick it up the wrong way. Raised
it to the son of Hitler parody. I hinted some clues that the blogger
pick up but at the end I wrote why it is impossible. Among Jack'¦s
modi operandi was to write to the London press signing JR. For just
curiosity of an amateur sleuth, I compare the handwritings and it
was not even close.

He stayed in an affluent place in London and that was probably the
reason that there are no jokers among us who could connect him to
the most vicious crime of the century that started few days after he
arrived. The killing stopped after he left for continental Europe in
the beginning of 1889. Jack the Ripper's victims were found in the
East End, the poor gut section of London badly cut with precision
that could only attributed to some one who has medical training.
Eyewitnesses claim that Jack wore a dark overcoat, but again JR had
a small frame that his shadow would stand short. It was the first
known serial killer that remained unsolved.

Couple of years ago, I then replaced the page fearing, blogger
might jump to another conclusion.
I did a lot of Rizal research outside from what has already been
written. I was just looking at the current events of that time. In
my attempt to study the social environment I casually associated the
notorious crime of the century. One of you even responded privately
citing a recent TV documentary that pointed the crime to a new
suspect, not Rizal. Another avid student of Rizal cited that one of
the victims was killed while Rizal was in Paris for a short visit.
He even went to the extent that one of the victims (Chapman?) was buried near Rizal's defender and friend (Regidor) tombstone in London. Rizal stayed for brief period with Antonio Regidor.  Ocampo repeated the same defense in his column in last February 2006. It was easy for me to remember the events as the year of 1888. While
watching History Channel about the unsolved crime of the Ripper that
revealed the latest suspect as a gay of the Freemasonry at that moment, you
could only imagine what I thought. I felt better when the new top
suspect was of other nationality. I went back to my other history
detective I was able to find the people who Rizal met in London
listed in the UK 1880 and 1890 census and several trivia. The JR’s
were just purely coincidental...

The blogger might have gotten the idea out of context from my reading of the current events of Rizal stay in London. BTW, I am still curious if the serial
crime that dominated London press and the Scotland Yard has been
mentioned by Rizal in his googol of letters. This is not to give you
anther hint ;-). The most copied crime was never solved. With no apprehension the legend and curiosity continues around the world.
